GM and Segway team up for P.U.M.A city vehicle
GM and Segway are on the road to develop the next-gen city vehicle, the P.U.M.A (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility). The concept uses Segway’s dynamic stabilization technology to stay put on its two wheels, can carry two people and reach a top speed of 35 mph. Safety is a major concern for this one, and GM hopes its Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication technology will help avoid nasty accidents.The entire collision avoidance system in the P.U.M.A will be linked to a wireless device, such as a phone.
